Continue giving him medication and along with that do the following, this will help to reduce the dosage

1 - keep him in a well ventilated room [don't cover him]
2 - apply cold water sponges on his head, also rub his foot with cold water sponge [you don't have to use ice cold water for this (it is not recommended), normal tap water is good enough]
3 - Give him enough water to drink, it prevents from dehydration
4 - Don't put tight cloths on baby. Dress him in comfortable wear
